So a few weeks ago I started building a Mandalorian kit. Since I liked the looks of Hondo Karr from the Dark Horse Star Wars Legacy comics I wanted to do some armor in that style. Here is my Imgur album of the pictures I’ve taken so far during the process.
You can see some of the design templates, construction process of the armor, helm and sword. The helm is made out of card stock, resin, fiberglass, and bondo. There’s still a lot of sanding that needs to be done. The beskad is made out of cardboard and then spray glued with fiberglass, resin and bondo.
The armor plates are being constructed of Sterilite trash cans. I saw this process on Dented Helmet and thought it would be an inexpensive way to see how the patterns came out.
