- 1 (13.2 oz) wheel of brie
- 8 tbsp. butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced
- 2 to 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- crackers or toasted bread slices
- Remove the rind from top of the wheel of brie and place wheel on serving platter; set aside
- In a large skillet melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in sugar and cook until sugar melts and turns light brown, about 4-6 minutes.
- Gently stir in pear slices and lemon juice; cook until slightly soft, about 5 minutes
- Spoon pear mixture over brie.
- serve with crackers or bread.
