• 1 c milk
  • 6 bread slices
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 c grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp seasoned salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 – 1/2 c minced flat-leaf parsley
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 8-12 bacon slices
Tomato gravy:
  • 1 1/2 c ketchup
  • 6 TBL brown sugar
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • dash of hot sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Pour the milk over the bread and allow it to soak for several min
  3. Place the ground beef, milk-soaked bread, Parmesan cheese, salt, seasoned salt, black pepper, and parsley in a large bowl. Pour in the eggs
  4. With clean hands, mix the ingredients until well combined
  5. Form the mixture in a loaf on a broiler pan
  6. Lay the bacon slices over the top tucking the end underneath the loaf’
  7. Next, make the tomato gravy stirring all ingredients until combined then pouring 1/3 of it over the loaf
  8. Bake for 45 min, then pour another 1/3 of the gravy over the loaf before baking for another 15 min
  9. Serve with the remaining gravy as a side dipping dish
