My background spans military service, technology, operations, small-business ownership, and community service. Throughout my career, I've found myself drawn to roles where I can solve problems, improve how things work, and support the people around me.
From serving as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps to more than 15 years with Kolbe Corp., owning and operating a small business, and managing operations and fleets, my experiences have given me a diverse combination of leadership, technical, and hands-on problem-solving skills.
Military Service - USMC
I served in the United States Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003, reaching the rank of Sergeant. As a Field Radio Operator, I worked with communications equipment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and inventory accountability while also leading and supervising other Marines.
Technology & Career
After leaving the Marine Corps, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Game Design from Collins College, studying programming, artificial intelligence, C++, and Flash development. In 2007, I joined Kolbe Corp., where I spent nearly 16 years supporting technology, proprietary software, Microsoft 365, hardware, internal systems, and day-to-day technical operations.
Volunteer and Fundraising
From 2012 through 2016, I raised $1,802 through Extra Life and other fundraising efforts benefiting Phoenix Children's Hospital. In 2013, I also began volunteering weekly in the hospital's "The Zone" playroom, where I continued serving until spring 2017.
Foster and Adopt
In the summer of 2016, my wife and I welcomed my niece and nephew into our home as foster children. Three years later, in 2019, we officially adopted them. Becoming foster and adoptive parents has been an important part of our family's story.

Charity & Fundraising
Goals and amount I raised for each year between 2012 to 2016. I've raised a total of $1,802 through my efforts in Extra Life.
In 2013 I signed up for Extra Life at the start of the year but I ended up fundraising for Phoenix Childrens Hospital by participating in their Miracle Miles event. I raised about $400 for Miracle Miles and walked in the P.F. Chang's Rock and Roll Marathon.
In the summer of 2013 I also started volunteering at the Phoenix Children's Hospital once a week. I worked in an area called 'The Zone' which was a large playroom for children 6 yrs and older. I ended my work at the Hospital in the spring of 2017 a few months after my wife and I took on 2 foster children.
