  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can sweetened and condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • zest of all the limes used for juice
  • 40 galletas marias or vanilla wafers
  1. place the cans in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour
  2. place a mixer bowl and the beaters in the freezer for 15 to 30 minutes
  3. place the evaporate milk in the mixer bowl and beat on high.
  4. after 4-6 minutes it should be whipped to high peaks
  5. put the mixer speed on low and start adding the sweetened and condensed milk little by little
  6. the beaters should continue on low speed
  7. add the lime juice and lime zest
  8. mix for another minute on high
  9. using a rectangular glass baking dish place a fort of the mixture on the bottom and spread
  10. place a layer of cookies then add another fourth of the mixture on top of the cookies and spread.
  11. repeat 2 more times and finish with the rest of the lime mixture.
  12. place in the freezer for at least 2 – 4 hours.
